I times like these where the economy does not look very good and you are not sure if you will have a job the next day many people are looking into education to improve their options on the job market. College students having graduated are having difficulties finding jobs and often if they find a job it barely pays the bills. So, vocational training has become much more popular lately as it prepares the student for a job based on training on the job providing the student with immediate knowledge and skills.
The vocational job training system in the US is not the best compared to many other countries. Especially European countries have a much higher evolved vocational training system. But that does not mean that there are no options here in the US. Many colleges have recognized a strong demand in vocational training and have started to offer vocational training programs in many trades and fields (so to speak).
Residents of Colorado have quite a selection to choose from when it comes to this form of training. A quick Google search returns a lot of places where students can enroll in this more traditional way of learning the ropes of a new job. The majority of these colleges and schools is located in the Denver Metro Area and a smaller footprint is shown for Colorado Springs. Beyond the largest cities in Colorado the selection of options becomes very small and interested individuals might not find a program in a field they are interested in. In addition, some programs might be labeled as vocational training programs, but in reality they are nothing other than a more customized college education. One also needs to know that while in other countries the student actually receives a salary while being enrolled into such a program or an apprenticeship, here in the US this is usually not the case and the student rather has to pay for his or her education.

There are certainly more vocational schools here in Colorado. Some of those are run by corporations, others by more established schools. As it is difficult to maintain this fast changing field, you should definitely use a Google search if you do not find an option listed here on my website.
